Gift certificate laws: expiration dates, alcohol sales and happy hour deals
Laws regarding voucher or gift-certificate/card sales are different for each state.
Here are a handful of links and documents that should give you a decent idea of what the laws are in your state.
Please keep in mind that there is an agreement in effect between the Raycom station and the certificate's business that dictates the terms by which the certificate will be honored. The promotion value of the certificate is valid until the certificate expires, after which the certificate is valid for it's paid value according to state/county law.
