Landing pages are for data collection. They are simple a web destination with a form (comprised of fields you add to it). The content of the landing page can include an image, a description using the rich text editor, and any number of form fields you want to collect data on.
For example, a car dealership could set up a landing page to sign people up for a test drive, or a restaurant could giveaway a free voucher just for new sms subscribers. It can be used as a pass-through link. Consider this scenario:
A business wants to promote something new on the web. So they create a landing page, configure it to redirect to their website after someone fills out the form, and then print out a QR Code to post in places where people can scan it with their phones.
Landing pages can be displayed without any site branding. In that way they can be completely branded for their usage. Landing pages can be private (not mentioned on the website) or public (visible). They can be configured to be mobile only (Landing pages are mobile-optimized), website only or both.
